ABOUT THE POSITION & MVHS
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are sad to say goodbye to our current co-band director, Mr. Ordonez, who has accepted a position at the American School Foundation of Guadalajara. But with that comes excitement to find a candidate to join our collaborative faculty to support our large music student population. Mount Vernon High School has a tradition of excellence, acceptance, and familia that permeate throughout our music department.

Mount Vernon High School, a 4A school with an enrollment of 2000 students, where one third of the school is in the music program. Mount Vernon High School is fortunate to have a diverse student body where all students can find a place to express a wide variety of interests and career pathways.

Mount Vernon, Washington is located 60 miles north of Seattle in the heart of the Skagit Valley. Founded to support a thriving logging industry, Mount Vernon is now best known for its annual Tulip Festival, which draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to our little corner of the world. With the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range to the east and the Puget Sound to the west, Mount Vernon doesn't lack for artistic inspiration.
